BIPOC Committee for BIPOC therapists.  Email Yakitta at yakitta@nbthllc.com

July 16, 2022

It is with great pleasure and humility that I have taken on the role as the Board Chair for this awesome group of Life Changers! In addition to being Board Chair, I believe it comes with great responsibility to collaborate with other clinicians of color who can speak to the hurt and heart of our BIPOC clients and educate our fellow peers who are not BIPOC.

As we know, so many stigmas are attached to the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color to seek treatment and begin their healing journeys.  I would like to invite other BIPOC therapists here in our COMBINE group to work together to break down those stigmas and build up our people. This will look like a committee solely of BIPOC therapists collaborating on issues/topics and discussing ways to impact serious change within this underserved community.

If you are interested, please feel free to outreach to me with your thoughts and questions!

I am excited for what is to come and to continue to make history in Colorado with each of you!

Be well,
